HP Operations Support System (OSS) Solution for MPLS Networks

Overview Service providers are embracing Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology as a unifying infrastructure for IP VPN, as well as other data services such as Ethernet, ATM and frame relay. MPLS is being adopted because it allows for the creation of secure IP VPN services, which represent a less costly alternative to traditional leased-line circuits, as well as for traffic engineering purposes. Building on the base HP OpenView Network Services Management Solution for MPLS, the OSS portfolio adds functions for multi-technology management, activation and mediation.
