University of Georgia Saves and Lowers Risk With Centralized Security Management Solutions From CA

Overview The University of GeorgiA (UGA) is the state's flagship institution of higher education. When the new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) joined UGA, he quickly realized that the University was in dire need of a centralized security management solution. UGA's network was protected by thousands of disparate security devices that were each being managed at their physical locations. This decentralized approach hindered UGA's ability to identify attacks before they impacted the network. UGA needed a solution that would provide them with a real-time view of its overall security posture and validation that the proper procedures and best practices are in place. UGA selected the Security Information Management (SIM) solution from CA to serve as the supporting infrastructure.
