Not-for-Profit Boosts Sales Prospects by 25 Percent, Gains Better Business Insight
Overview The Business Development Board (BDB) of Palm Beach County is a private, not-for-profit corporation that serves as the county's official economic development organization. Since 1993, more than 225 company relocations and expansions assisted by the BDB resulted in the creation of more than 22,000 jobs and added in excess of U.S.$4 billion to the Palm Beach County economy. Because 50 percent of its funding comes from the private sector, the BDB needed a better way to track and recruit members. With the help of Microsoft Certified Business Solutions Partner Templeton & Company, the BDB installed Microsoft CRM (now part of Microsoft Dynamics). The BDB can now centrally manage membership records, respond more knowledgeably to member inquiries, and process 25 percent more leads each day.
