Windows Vista Can Help GarantiBank Reduce Per PC Total Cost of Ownership by 6 Percent
Overview As Turkey's third-largest private bank, GarantiBank maintains a highly organized and efficient IT infrastructure. A Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis conducted at GarantiBank in spring 2006 found that upgrading the bank's PCs to Microsoft Windows Vista from Windows XP would enable the bank to reduce overall TCO per PC. These projected cost savings include IT labor costs reduced by 10 percent or $18 per PC per year, end-user labor costs reduced by 10 percent or $148 per PC per year, and electricity consumption reduced by 26 percent or US $10 per PC per year.
