Advantages and Implementation of HP Remote Graphics Software

Overview HP Remote Graphics Software (RGS) efficiently transmits complex 2D and 3D images in real-time across standard computer networks to remote users. The remote users are able to interact with a desktop workstation and its applications as if they were using the local workstation. The RGS allows users to work with applications and data remotely - for example on the road with a laptop. This paper describes a product from Hewlett-Packard that allows sharing of complex graphics images across a standard network, with unmodified off-the-shelf applications, giving the remote viewers a "Just like local" experience.
