MSDN Webcast: Building Modern Software: Services, Workflow, and Identity (Level 200)

Overview The move to a service-oriented world, made possible by the rise of Web services, is one of these day's most important trends in software development. To fully take advantage of this architectural shift, organizations frequently need to combine Web services, workflow, and identity management. This webcast is an introduction to Microsoft technologies in these areas: Windows Communication Foundation, the forthcoming framework for creating service-oriented applications; Windows Workflow Foundation, a framework for creating workflow-based applications; and "InfoCard," which is the code name of a technology for managing digital identity using Web services. The webcast explains how these three components of the WinFX programming model will provide the foundation for service-oriented applications on the Microsoft platform.
