Orwo Net GmbH Expands Platform to Accommodate Up to 500,000 Development Orders Per Day

Overview Founded in 2002, ORWO Net GmbH is a modern photo-service provider for analog photo service by mail and online delivery offered under the brand names PixelNet and ORWO. The company wanted to improve efficiency of managing several hundred thousand digital pictures, whose size averages 1MB per picture, per day. ORWO wanted to resolve and eliminate all bottlenecks and ensure fast, secure, continuously available processing. ORWO installed Oracle Database Enterprise Edition with Real Application Clusters, improving the effectiveness of their Net's massive data management requirements and collaborated with Oracle Partner CosiFan Computersysteme to configure and install the system.
