SICK AG - On Its Way to Information Lifecycle Management

Overview SICK AG had a highly complex heterogeneous storage environment which had associated high costs. It needed centralisation for its entire globally-operative corporate group, which had large volumes of data. The company looked for a storage solution that could meet its tough requirements: high data availability, high safety and security, and a small backup window. The company selected uniform system platform and integrated storage solution from online storage to archiving; HP FSE for archiving; online storage using two HP StorageWorks EVA5000, each with 10TB storage capacity; daily backup with HP StorageWorks ESL9322 and HP OpenView Storage Data Protector software for backup and restore.
