South Africa's Coffee Houses Set to Go Wireless in Seattle

Overview Originated in the USA, the international Seattle Coffee Company organisation was taken over by Starbucks in 2003. Retaining the original brand name, Seattle Coffee Company now has 23 outlets. Seattle Coffee Company needed reliable hardware so that it could deploy, and then not have to worry the wireless network. Its choice was to install ProCurve 420 Wireless Access Points. These single-radio access points are ideally suited for medium to large wireless LAN deployments. With integrated 802.3af Power over Ethernet, they offer a cost-effective means to deploy either an 802.11b or 802.11g wireless network. They also implement the latest security based on industry standards, including support for IEEE 802.1X with per user/per session encryption, Wi-Fi Protected Access, and multiple VLAN support.
