Streamlining the Distribution of EU Agricultural Subsidies
Overview Farmers in any new European Union (EU) member state can expect big changes. One of the most important is the availability of a range of agricultural subsidies. In Hungary, the Agricultural and Rural Development Agency (ARDA) was set up in 2003 to manage and distribute these subsidies at a national level. To do this effectively, ARDA worked with HP to develop a new core application, the Integrated Administration and Control System (IACS) based on HP Integrity and HP ProLiant servers, running on HPUX 11i. ARDA engaged HP to further develop the IACS application while also enhancing the system management solution and introducing more comprehensive support.
