Standardizing on AMD for the Company That Sets the Reseller Standard

Overview Founded 24 years ago CDW is now a Fortune 500 company. As a leading provider of technology products and services for business, government and education, CDW is one of HP's biggest North American reseller partners. As the company has grown, its data center needs have expanded, too. The company decided to test out the HP ProLiant DL series servers with the AMD Opteron processors. The server sprawl had gotten enormous in the last few years and the company needed a way to help control it. The company was literally running out of power, running out of cooling, adding extra air conditioner units and adding extra power units to the data center. The company decided to switch to HP ProLiant AMD-based servers.
