Alcatel Distributed Mobile Switching Center Solutions: The Next-Generation Solution for Today's Networks

Overview Wireless operators must cut operating and capital expenditures as revenue growth fails to keep up with the growing number of subscribers. Meanwhile, the push toward 2.5G and 3G technologies means carriers will have to make extensive capital investments in their networks. Alcatel offers Spatial Atrium Distributed Mobile Switching Center (DMSC) solutions for mobile networks. The Alcatel Spatial Atrium DMSC substitutes centralized core switches with switching points distributed across a network. By incorporating Alcatel Spatial Atrium DMSC solutions, carriers can cost-effectively grow their legacy networks to better serve existing and new customers. At the same time, they will position themselves for an evolution to next-generation networks without compromising quality and reliability.
