Unified Messaging Solution Helps High-Tech Athletic Club Better Manage IT System

Overview Esporte Clube Pinheiros is one of the largest athletic clubs in Latin America, with more than 35,000 members, offering sports, training, and leisure activities. The company believes in using technology to support administrative, security, and IT tasks, including installing biometric devices and surveillance cameras to protect employees and members and using e-mail for internal communication. The sports club has relied on Microsoft messaging software for 10 years and currently uses Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. In 2006, to accommodate business growth, the sports club deployed Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and, at the same time, evaluated a beta version of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. The new solution offers easier IT management, improved performance, and higher reliability.
