A New Standard in Software Asset Management: The Benefits and Implications of ISO/IEC 19770

Overview The key to effective Software Asset Management (SAM) seems quite simple: "Know what you have." But there is a catch; knowing what you have depends on the processes and tools that are used to manage software assets. Software license compliance is among the most pervasive challenges facing organizations today. CIO's and IT managers are turning their attention to best practice frameworks to elevate ad hoc practices to comprehensive, process-driven SAM programs.
