But the company needed a new technology infrastructure so that these staff could work more efficiently. Centrica decided to upgrade its IT systems to support the rollout of Microsoft Windows Mobile technology. It also equipped executives and senior staff with Microsoft Windows Mobile-based Pocket PCs, Microsoft Windows Mobile-based Smartphones, and Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition devices.
