Symantec Internet Security Threat Report, September 2006

Overview In addition to gathering Internet-wide attack data for its biannual "Internet Security Threat Report," Symantec also gathers and analyzes attack data that's detected by sensors deployed in specific regions throughout the world. This regional report highlights the top attacks, top countries of attack origin, and top malicious code that were targeted at computers in North America between January 1 and June 30, 2006. It also identifies the North American countries with the highest percentage of bot-infected computers as well as the continent's top region of origin for spam.
