DS-TDMA/CP: A Flexible TDMA Protocol for Wireless Networks

Overview DS-TDMA/CP is a TDMA-based medium access protocol for cellular networks catering to multiple traffic classes with diverse QoS requirements. In contrast to other TDMA protocols for mobile applications, instead of trying to fit the offered traffic to the slot size, the solution proposed in this paper adapts the slot size to the offered traffic. In consequence, as demonstrated by the performance studies, the proposed scheme is more flexible and incurs lower bandwidth overhead than other TDMA-based solutions.
