Magnabosco Keeps Customers Happy and Its Sales Force Selling
Overview The paper-based sales system at Magnabosco led to frequent data entry errors that slowed customer service response time and complicated access to organizational information. Knowing that sales calls are more effective when a well-trained sales force can immediately access relevant data, Magnabosco sought a wireless, PDA-based solution to automate order entry and improve sales force productivity. Recognizing the need for pervasive computing and the challenges of wireless database connectivity, Magnabosco sought a complete solution that offered both a highly scalable database and a small footprint. IBM Business Consulting Services (BCS) implemented a Wireless Sales Force Automation solution, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Package Implementation, Mobile Integration Services and DB2 Everyplace.
