Performance Management: New "Hybrids" Combine Agent and Agentless Technology, Deliver Best of Both Worlds
Overview To understand the challenges organizations face in reducing performance management costs, Ziff Davis Media surveyed more than 1,100 technology decision makers. The results suggest that an ideal performance management solution would deliver advanced, in-depth functionality at a lower cost, with less maintenance, than agent-based platforms. Respondents also affirmed that a single platform that could maximize the effectiveness of the agentless approach (deploying management agents only where needed) would provide a highly attractive balance of functionality and ease of use. Such a "Hybrid" approach represents a significant shift in the systems management market, one that promises to deliver reduced costs and improved efficiency.
