Overview In April 2006, BMC Software commissioned Forrester Research to examine the financial impact and potential Return On Investment (ROI) an organization might realize from implementing BMC Service Impact and Event Management solutions. To determine the impact, Forrester examined the specific costs, benefits, flexibility, and risk elements that one healthcare customer experienced when it implemented BMC Service Impact and Event Management solutions. The organization is HealthSouth Corporation, which has more than 1,800 facilities in the US (all 50 states), the United Kingdom, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and Puerto Rico. The purpose of the study discussed in this paper is to provide readers with a framework to evaluate the potential financial impact of BMC Service Impact and Event Management solutions.
