Security and Social Services Agency to Streamline Service Requests and Enable Greater Team Collaboration Using the 2007 Microsoft Office System

Overview The Institute of Security and Social Services for State Workers (Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales para los Trabajadores del Estado - ISSSTE) is responsible for providing both current and retired federal government employees with a comprehensive set of benefits, including security and social services established by federal law. ISSSTE's executive Information Technology (IT) team is tasked with providing top-notch support to the 25,000 users across the country. Because service requests are handled manually and require several time-consuming steps to complete, responding to orders can take up to eight days. ISSSTE plans to take advantage of an array of new products in the 2007 Microsoft Office release to address the various needs of the organization.
