Boosting Performance of a Mission-Critical SAP Environment by Integrating It With Robust IBM Software
Overview Scana Offshore Vestby AS (Scana) is part of Scana Industrier ASA, a leading industrial group in Norway. Scana struggled to maintain the stability of its business-critical SAP R/3 production environment because its expensive computing infrastructure experienced hardware errors and system-reboot problems. To improve the performance of its SAP systems and the affordability of its computing platform, the company wanted to implement new information management and backup solutions as well as new servers and an open-source operating environment. Scana improved the stability and performance of its SAP environment with a solution featuring IBM DB2 and IBM Tivoli software.
