UNICOM Technology Group Case Study: Large New England School System

Overview For a period of four years, the school district has been receiving E-Rate funding, totaling approximately $5 million, to reconstruct their entire network infrastructure. Their management team was looking for a way to leverage technology to ease communications and increase productivity. The IT Director opted to work with a single source provider to plan and implement the installation of a LAN in each of the 46 locations. The IT Director selected UNICOM as the single source provider because UNICOM offers expertise in all the services necessary for LAN development: network design planning, cabling, project management, product acquisition, installation, service, support and training.
