Labatt's Employees Meet at 'The Pub' to Improve Internal Communication and Collaboration
Overview Labatt Breweries of Canada is one of the nation's oldest and most successful companies, currently employing 3,800 Canadians. To improve overall communication with employees located in eight breweries from coast to coast and to eliminate silos of information between business units, the company decided to implement an intranet, called 'The Pub.' Microsoft Content Management Server 2002, Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2001, and Windows SharePoint Services were selected to form the underlying infrastructure for the new intranet site. Employee communications have been significantly improved: 70 percent of employees frequently visit The Pub, and employees share information and collaborate on documents on more than 30 team workspaces.
