New York Budget Analysis Agency Enhances Remote Connectivity While Reducing Costs
Overview The Independent Budget Office (IBO) of New York City makes the city budget easier to understand. To meet deadlines, IBO senior executives often need to access network resources and collaborate after business hours. The IBO wanted a VPN solution that was easy to use and easy to manage, that integrates with the Active Directory service, and that takes advantage of other features provided by its recent upgrade to Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and Exchange Server 2003. Based on recommendations from Cartwright & Goodwin, a Microsoft Certified Partner, the IBO replaced its Cisco PIX 515E Security Appliance with the Network Engines NS6300 Security Appliance, powered by Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server.
