Remote Access - RA Servers White Papers

Working Remotely With Exchange Server

Overview A large number of people use Outlook 2003 in multiple locations, such as the office, home, in a hotel, or even on a cruise ship. When traveling out of the office, one needs a method to connect Outlook to the corporate Exchange Server. One can use Outlook when out of the office in several ways: using offline access to Exchange, using Cached Exchange mode, using Remote Mail, using RPC (Remote Procedure Calls) over an HTTP connection. This paper will cover each of these options in detail.
