Florida Law Firm Ensures Its Data Is Available, Even if a Hurricane Strikes

Overview Ruden McClosky is one of Florida's largest and most prominent law firms, providing a full range of legal services and business solutions across 10 Florida offices and one office in Venezuela. The director of IT decided to set up a secondary data center in Chicago, IL (out of the path of any potential hurricanes), which would be linked to the various sites via the firm's Wide Area Network (WAN). After encountering a series of bandwidth issues with his existing WAN provider, the director of IT chose Global Crossing to supply the infrastructure that would enable him to implement his replication strategy. He then purchased XOsoft's WANSync and WANSyncHA for his Exchange, SQL, and file servers.
