University Upgrades Messaging System for Easier Web and Wireless E-Mail Access

Overview Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore is a research-intensive university ranked among the top 50 universities in the world with a mobile faculty. The school's 23,000 students and 3,400 staff members want anytime, anywhere access to e-mail and calendars, and the IT staff wants a messaging environment that's easy and cost-effective to manage. A long-time user of Microsoft technologies, NTU recently upgraded from Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 with Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access (OWA). Users can now access and manage their e-mail remotely by using Internet-connected portable computers and remote computers. With Microsoft Office Outlook Mobile Access and Exchange ActiveSync, users also can check mail from mobile phones and Microsoft Windows Mobile-based devices.
