Oracle Case Study: Fujian Province Telecommunications Co., Ltd.
Overview Fujian Province Telecommunications Co., Ltd. (Fujian Telecom) is a subsidiary of China Telecom Corporation. Fujian Telecom needed to boost the processing capability and reliability of its business support systems and strengthen system reliability to increase telecom service levels. The company sought to fully utilize its existing server facilities to minimize hardware costs. Fujian Telecom deployed Oracle Database with Real Application Clusters which improved processing efficiency and provided automatic failover to protect data and keep applications running in the event of a server failure. Using Oracle Database with Real Application Clusters, load balancing automatically distributes requests to the server with more capacity to deliver the shortest possible response times.
