Agora Guarantees High Performance for Growing Trade Volume

Overview Agora Corretora de Titulos e Valores Mobiliarios wanted to replace an old and mismatched database structure with one that supports information from the brokerage's Web site as well as the activities of almost 30,000 online brokers. They wanted to increase performance and agility of daily Web operations and keep the environment running full time. Agora also wanted to migrate the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to a database with higher performance and reliability to hinder information loss. The company implemented Oracle Database with Real Application Clusters 10g, enabling the company to support the increasing amount of data and visits to its portal, which have grown from 1,600 visitors to 4,000 visitors per day.
