Saraswat Bank Ensures Round-the-Clock Operations

Overview Saraswat Bank is the largest cooperative bank in Asia. The bank wanted to integrate multiple channels into an integrated business management platform and ensure secure, 24/7 operation for core banking application. They wanted to enable system upgrades within short timeframes and improve customer service levels and speed response times. The bank provided robust performance and high availability by running core banking application on Oracle Database 10g and Oracle Real Application Clusters 10g, rolling out the new platform to 75 branches in one month and ensured high availability and security with clustering technology, enabling Saraswat Bank to continue transacting within 15 hours of torrential flooding when other institutions were out of operation for up to three days.
