Business Information Firm Changes Productivity Software to Meet Global Business Needs

Overview Scope e-Knowledge Center Private Limited is a leading business information organization in Chennai, India, providing remote knowledge based-services, such as research and database services, to clients in the United States, United Kingdom, and Europe. For close to two years, Scope used a combination of StarOffice and Microsoft Office 2000 as its desktop productivity suite. However, as business volumes rapidly grew, Scope realized that StarOffice had limitations and was not scalable enough. The company also realized that the incremental cost and time involved in training employees on StarOffice - and hence productivity loss - was an additional burden that offset the cost of migrating entirely to Microsoft Office Professional Enterprise Edition 2003.
