The IBM DB2 Integrated Cluster Environment Leads the Way With 3-Tier, 32-Node SAP Business Information Warehouse Benchmark Results

Overview Historically seen, the concept of data warehousing typically brings to mind complexity and expensive hardware. The introduction of Linux clustering changed that view over the last few years by using concepts from the "Linux Beowulf" High Performance Computing cluster in the enterprise arena. The IBM DB2 Universal DataBase (DB2 UDB) product family is the known scalability leader for databases and, to be more specific, data warehouses. This combination of Linux, DB2 UDB, and hardware, provided through the DB2 Integrated Cluster Environment (ICE) solution stack, drives a completely new level of simplification to the marketplace, allowing companies of every size to deploy scalable data warehouses that require very limited resource investments.
