Overview Papierfabrik Albert Friedrich KG (fripa) is a paper manufacturing and processing company based in Miltenberg, Germany. Since fripa's production site is in operation around the clock nearly 365 days a year, the availability of its SSA Baan ERP system is absolutely crucial. The need to have a high-availability platform, together with a realisation that maintenance costs were growing rapidly, recently led the company to replace its Sun server architecture. Having already implemented HP server technology widely in the company, it made sense to take advantage of HP's Linux expertise as well. The use of HP's clustering technology and Data Protector helps to ensure business continuity.
