Managing Payment Systems in Banking Using HP OpenView Solutions

Overview This paper explored the broad capabilities of the HP OpenView management functionality that apply to the payment systems for the financial institutions. These systems are large and complicated, as they use many different types of applications on many different, though interlinked, systems. Those systems can be made up of a variety of different hardware and application infrastructure, with clustering and failover strategies implemented throughout. The importance of good management solutions in the payments systems landscape is undoubted. Without an adequate management system, the move to more modern architectures for banking will be subject to increased risk.
