Slovak Telecom Deploys Long Distance Disaster Recovery Solution

Overview Slovak Telecom, the largest telecommunication company in Slovakia has placed an order with East European IT consulting firm S&T for an IT storage solution, based on a comprehensive disaster recovery concept, for maximum protection against data loss. The long distance solution, which is based on technologies from EMC, will permit real time back-up at two geographically distant computer centres, thereby ensuring that all data is constantly available even in case of catastrophic events such as earthquake, flood or fire.
