Kuehne & Nagel Deploy Accelerators to Support Critical Data Back-Up
Overview And at the heart of Kuehne & Nagel's supply chain management is the need for reliable data mirroring between its primary AS/400 iSeries servers to ensure that vital information on tracking, production, shipment, order and inventory management, warehousing and distribution is never lost. Kuehne & Nagel wanted to address this need for critical data back-up, without incurring any additional costs to upgrade its Wide Area Network (WAN) capacity to serve this purpose. After careful evaluation and extensive testing, Kuehne & Nagel decided to deploy Expand's Accelerator 4000 series on the existing T1 lines operating from Sungard, Philadelphia to the company's principal data center.
