Computacenter Case Study: Merrill Lynch

Overview Merrill Lynch has offices in 38 countries and total client assets of around $1.4 trillion. Merrill Lynch was keen to benefit from the efficiencies of a single site and embarked on relocating its business to a European headquarters in the heart of the City of London. The infrastructure for the existing datacentre was mainly situated in two London offices and included three different platforms. All three environments had to be moved to their new home at the Merrill Lynch Financial Centre over just 17 weekends. The IT team soon realised this would require extensive additional planning and resources, and they knew that they needed external support. That support was provided by Computacenter.
