SLA White Papers

Optimizing IT: Smartmoney.com and Mercury

Overview SmartMoney.com, a joint venture of Dow Jones & Company, Inc. and the Hearst Corporation, Inc., needed technology to help ensure it could meet various SLAs and provide premium users of its Web site with consistent access to all available services. Although they were using a competitor's product to help in these regards, SmartMoney.com's IT professionals were not able to match internal and external monitors or correlate patterns efficiently, leading to inconsistencies in service. Mercury SiteScope and Mercury Managed Services for Mercury Business Availability Center enabled SmartMoney.com to tie together internal and external monitors into one easy-to-use system.
