Optimizing IT: Navitaire and Mercury

Overview Through a hosted delivery model, Navitaire Inc. provides a range of services to the airline industry, including reservations, direct distribution, revenue protection, decision support, and passenger revenue-accounting services. Navitaire needed a monitoring solution that was easier to use and less cumbersome than its former solution, HP OpenView. The company also required a solution that provided its geographically dispersed administrators and users with Web access to monitoring tools and functions. Navitaire implemented Mercury SiteScope, which features a proven agentless architecture that is ideally suited to monitoring distributed systems, networks, servers, and applications. The company has also been able to prevent outages and other problems that would have led to financial SLA penalties.
