Ji Consultancy Designs and Supervises Transition to VMware Virtual Infrastructure for High Availability and Disaster Recovery at Jersey Financial Services

Overview Jersey Financial Services Commission is responsible for the supervision of the financial services businesses on the British island of Jersey. In 2003, the deputy director - head of Information Communications and Technology, identified shortcomings in Jersey Financial Service's disaster recovery methods, which relied on traditional back-up tapes and decided to upgrade the IT infrastructure. Following close consultation with Ji Consultancy, a VMware Authorized Consulting (VAC) Partner and VMware Enterprise VIP, Jersey Financial Services began implementing a virtual infrastructure that would meet its needs. VMware ESX Server enabled Jersey Financial Services to consolidate 12 servers onto an 8-way IBM Intel server at both its live site and its disaster recovery site.
