Overview A Digital ID, sometimes called a digital certificate, is a file on the computer that identifies who the person is. One can acquire a Digital ID from a company called a Certification Authority (CA). Also, the company or organization might issue a Digital ID through the Digital ID Center in conjunction with a CA. When the company issues a Digital ID, they are providing one with a way to identify oneself to other people in the company, to the company's business partners, or to computers in the network.
