The Town of Burlington, Massachusetts Turns to Siemens HiPath

Overview Named by Inc. Magazine in the 1990s as the second best place in America to locate a business, the town of Burlington, Massachusetts is a community of approximately 23,000 people located in the northeastern part of the state, just 13 miles from Boston. Burlington decided to upgrade their telephone system because their existing Centrex system did not provide Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) for small and remote facilities, voice mail, caller ID or the voice processing features they wanted. The plan was launched with the issuance of an RFP, continued with a careful evaluation of all respondent proposals and concluded with the selection of a Siemens HiPath solution based on the Hicom 300 H communications platform.
