Adobe Systems Case Study: South Axholme School of Performing Arts

Overview South Axholme School, Doncaster, became an Arts and Technology College in December 2000. As part of its new status, it planned to introduce an animation element to cater for pupils who did not want to study the more traditional art forms and began offering a Moving Images and Visual Arts component to the course. The school wanted an animation package that pupils could easily get to grips with and that would be suitable for a range of content, from light-hearted, fun animations to more expressive pieces, depending on the pupil's personal choice. The school decided to use Macromedia Studio MX 2004, particularly Macromedia Flash to enable pupils to develop their animations.
