Adobe Systems Case Study: East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania

Overview In Imaging Technology, a required course in the Media Communications & Technology program, students explore advanced imaging techniques and animation. One of the primary means of assessing students' progress in this course is an electronic Portfolio (ePortfolio) assembled and delivered in a cohesive, digital environment using Adobe Acrobat software and Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania wanted to deliver a quality curriculum that prepares students for real-world careers, streamline electronic assembly and distribution of student projects, combine text, graphics, video, Web projects, and interactive displays into a cohesive ePortfolio, and convey student work exactly as intended. In fall 2003, students in the Imaging Technology course began using Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional software to create ePortfolios in Adobe PDF.
