Adobe Systems Case Study: Crown Cork & Seal

Overview Crown Cork & Seal is the world's leading manufacturer of packaging products for consumer goods. Crown invests heavily in employee training to support its quality manufacturing process. Unfortunately, classroom-based training often costs tens of thousands of dollars per day. To reduce the cost of its employee-training program, Crown decided to replace an instructor-led course with Web-based training applications. They decided to first convert a course that instructs production line supervisors how to calibrate and maintain the gauges used to measure product dimensions. Lacking the in-house expertise to develop the Web-based courseware, Crown chose to partner with Brookwood Media Arts, based near Philadelphia. To enhance the online learning experience, Brookwood used Authorware to add rich media to the courses.
