Overview Postbank is the largest retail bank in Germany, with 11.5 million customers and total assets of ?133 billion. Postbank promises its customers multichannel banking, and to keep this promise, it undertakes countless time-critical posting procedures daily. Six million credit cards, 5 million bank accounts, and 40 million address data items generate millions of posting records every day. In addition, the software must ensure a rapid online response time. To this end, SAP has been working with Postbank to develop the most up-to-date core banking software. A business as sensitive as financial transactions also requires a special kind of support. This too was new territory for Postbank, so it integrated a premium support product - SAP MaxAttention.
