Overview This paper provides deployment guidelines to configure the HP ProLiant Storage Server to host HP StorageWorks Command View EVA to manage HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) products as well as basic administration information unique to HP ProLiant Storage Servers. HP ProLiant Storage Servers (NAS) are a viable option to storage administrators in the deployment of array management software. HP ProLiant Storage Servers are built on two industry-leading business platforms: HP ProLiant servers and Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2003 operating system. The storage server can fulfill a dedicated management server running EVA management software exclusively or a consolidated role simultaneously providing file/print and storage management services.
