Cisco Partner Dimension Data's IP Communications Expertise Pays Off for New York City Economic Development Corporation
Overview The New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYC EDC) offers services to New York City business owners that help them conduct business more effectively, cost-efficiently, and profitably through incentives such as financing options, tax benefits, and cost-saving energy programs. The organization's traditional PBX was nearly 20 years old and getting increasingly difficult and costly to maintain. Since the NYC EDC is standardized on Cisco Systems equipment, it consulted with a local Cisco representative and started a pilot Cisco IP Communications program that also included the involvement of Dimension Data because of its expertise in PBX system integration issues. Dimension Data deployed a Cisco IP Communications solution with supporting infrastructure for the NYC EDC.
