What Is IT Governance, and Why Should You Care?
Overview IT governance is focused on the alignment of the business strategy to the services provided by the IT department. IT governance ensures the linkage between the business process and the IT processes by establishing the management mechanisms necessary to ensure predicable IT service delivery. IT governance has traditionally been the domain of the CIO, CEO, and a handful of IT and Line Of Business (LOB) executives. SOA governance is an extension of IT governance. It differs from IT governance in that it is specifically focuses on the effective implementation of IT delivered through services or services-oriented computing. The goal of services-oriented computing is to deliver the business processes as IT services.
